This week’s yoga pose is Tadasana.
Mountain Pose is my favorite pose in yoga. This pose looks easy but it is difficult to hold this pose with intention. I like to start my mornings when the sun rises. I roll out my yoga mat and stand at the front of it tall, balanced, still, and strong. I close my eyes to get deeper into the pose. I look inward and breathe deeply. I inhale slowly and exhale even slower. I ask myself two questions. What do I need today? What is my body telling me? I listen to my body and then respond by honoring what it needs.
How to do Tadasana
Stand with your feet together.
Lift and spread your toes then place them back down.
Roll your shoulders up towards your ears and then back and down.
Relax your arms by your side with palms open forward.
Look straight ahead and breathe.
